Stereoscopic Films by A-VFX

In common with Action Art Company A-VFX has completed the shooting of the short film in stereoscopic format. After editing we’ve made it in 2K stereo format, as a result we got two sequences for left and right eyes, afterwords the material was moved to DCP format. What let us carry out the demonstration in the digital movie theater.

What let us carry out the demonstration in the digital movie theater.

Many viewings of competent specialist confirmed that viewers perceive the film absolutely comfortable and natural.

All pictures at the page are represented in anaglyph format (red-cyan anaglyph glasses), which was chosen like the most widespread format for the stereo images in internet. Unfortunately, this format doesn’t reproduce all the quality of the color and depth of the stereo image.

Before to start a real stereoscopic shooting, the studio conducted several successful tests of the conversion of traditional image to the stereoscopic format. We’ve took two shots from the “We’re from the future 2” with difficult for the conversion elements, like grass, some camera movements, running characters or explosions full of smoke and dust.

Thereby, we’ve arranged the pipeline of work with stereo image, which includes full cycle of  stages: from shooting and editing till final grading.
