
The Asymmetric VFX Studio (A-VFX) is a Russian leading post production company creating high-end visual effects and CG character animation for the feature film, TV series and TV commercials.
Asymmetric VFX Studio was started in 2007 in Moscow. Victor Luckysov, one of the partners of well-known Moscow CGI company Dr. Picture Studios with over 10 years’ experience on CGI market organized a new company, relying on the solid & time-proven creative team. We are aspired to develop the studio as a high competitive visual effects and animation production able to produce digital imagery for feature films, 3D animated short films & commercials as well.

COMMERCIALS
We create visual effects not only for movies but for commercials as well, maintaining close cooperation with leading international advertising agencies and production companies. To raise effectiveness we apply experience and
technologies proven on film productions. Our studio creates commercials for such brands as M&Ms, Coca-Cola, Cheetos, Myth, Actimel, Heineken, Baltika. Our well-structured pipeline makes it possible to create visual effects for movies and commercials at the same time.
TECHNIQUE
In our everyday work we use not only licensed software but also programs created within our studio: fur & hair generator for character animation; shared network for data exchange between Autodesk Maya, 3dsMax, Softimage XSI, The Foundry Nuke. And our own data storage system based on Novell, Sun and Oracle technologies (total volume is about 72 Terabytes).
We configurated computing system (renderfarm) out of 150 processors (3,2 TFlops).
We aspire to never stand still but to move forward growing, mastering new tools & applying new technologies. But still, the most important component of our success is people: artists, animators, supervisors, programmers, producers- a solid team of professionals!
